Boston Cranberry - Our Own Colorful large kidney shaped bean, beige with red stripes. Originally sourced from Rob Johnston, founder of Johnny's Selected Seeds many years ago. According to him, it was called Andrew Kent, and was originally grown on the island of Vinalhaven in Maine. Looks like the Boston Beautiful bean pictured in the 1929 book Beans of New York. While it is beautiful, we call it cranberry to be more descriptive. We likely are the only producers of this rare heirloom bean.
